The POS MM as you call it trades on ALGO's the work off L-2 and L-3 bid/ask stacks. (we cannot see L-3 people).
Yes a few days prior to OPEX there may be some people trying to fool the ALGO by loading offers into the stack.. That is about all the can do.... same as fake short loading the ASK but pulling the order before it TX..
It is a money game short term but long term we win if we are smart enough to take the crumbs and make a pie..
